About the Artist

Lyn has worked for many different Photographic Studios in London as a Transparency retoucher, which was created by hand with dyes and bleaches.

In 1978, having been asked to join a Photographic Studio in Sao Paulo Brazil, she lived there for a year and became friends with Brazilian Artist, Silvia Rodrigez, who tutored and encouraged her to start painting in oils.

With a move to Amsterdam, she spent four years in Studios in Holland, working in Digital Imaging. While there she met her kiwi husband and moved to New Zealand.

Along with painting she runs her own Photo restoration business.

Her surreal painting subjects come from images around her, and from an over active and vivid imagination.

In the last few years she has had success with her portrait painting, including being a finalist in the National Portrait Gallery's Adam Award, and also in commission work.
